Value – The price of this product is well in line with its quality, reminding me of Jefferson’s Aged at Sea, which is considerably more expensive. It offers exceptional value for a whiskey with such a unique aging process.
Appearance – The presentation is impressive, with a beautifully designed bottle that features the specific barge number on the cap. The back label provides an intriguing explanation of the whiskey’s distinctive aging process and its location, adding a personal touch that sets it apart from other bourbons. It’s a standout in both design and concept.
Nose – Lots of Chocolate Mint, Grassy and Citrus.
Palate – Soft Caramel, Thick Mouthfeel, Pine Needles, White Pepper.
Finish – Smooth on the back end with Fresh Wood, Light Smoke, and Honey Crisp Apple. The finish is my favorite piece of expression as it really sets to impress. Enjoyable and decadent.
